Hello!
Welcome to the latest edition of Roland Insider. Summer NAMM is just around the corner, and we’ve got a handful of exciting products slated to debut at the show in Nashville on June 20-22. Be sure to check back soon to see what’s new!
Roland not only makes today’s music over the radio airwaves, but also on network TV. We recently sat down with film/TV composer Jan Stevens (Scrubs, Samantha Who) who is stoked about using the new VG-99 V-Guitar System, along with a host of other Roland products to score his shows. Click here to read the interview and hear one of Jan’s cues.
You can also see and hear Roland V-Drums in action on Comedy Central’s new and revamped version of The Gong Show. Look for a feature on the show’s music director, Doug DeAngelis, coming soon.
For keyboard players and programmers, Roland’s own technical guru Robbie Berman takes you on a quick tour of the acclaimed new Fantom-G. The ’G offers one of the most exciting features to ever hit the keyboard world — Patch Remain — which allows you to switch from one sound to another without any glitching or silence. Click here to learn more!
And check out our recent interview with percussionist and Roland enthusiast, Kevin Ricard. Whether he’s recording with Christina Aguilera, Kenny Loggins and others, or groovin’ on American Idol, Kevin turns to Roland to get the job done.
Stay tuned, and we’ll see you at Summer NAMM!
