District Sales Manager

Duties and Responsibilities
- Achievement of monthly sales budgets.
- Develop Roland dealer’s business.
- Provide retail sales, product training and assist with product merchandising and retail sales promotions.
- Assist retailers develop and implement Roland Sales programs.
- 70% travel required within territory.
Qualified candidate should have minimum four years retail and/or wholesale experience music sales experience. Strong sales, product demonstration, communication and computer level skills. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Lotus Notes (or other email application). Knowledge of electronic musical instruments and applications is desirable. A desire to learn and excel is a necessity. Excellent salary & benefits including 401(k), paid holidays and vacation.

District Sales Manager (LA-based)
Division: BOSS
Reports To: President
Duties & Responsibilities
- Attainment of individual and group budgets and goals through proactive telemarketing.
- Acquisition of new BOSS dealers.
- Develop and improve long term relationships with BOSS dealers on behalf of Roland Corporation U.S.
- Maintain accounts on a current basis and provide information on accounts as required.
- Ability to understand, communicate and train on all BOSS products.
- Achieving prompt and courteous customer service on the phone.
Employment Standards
Education/Experience: High school graduate or equivalent
Skills: Sales/telemarketing experience a plus. Knowledge of musical instruments and guitar products. Good verbal and written skills
Knowledge: Must be computer literate. Knowledge of word processing and “telemagic” a plus.

Senior Application Developer
Division: Operations
Reports To: Application Development Manger
Summary Description
Under general direction of the Application Development Manager, performs systems analysis, programming design, and coding; participates in the problem solving activities relating to applications on the System I (AS400) and PC/MAC computers and related networks; and provides application development functions as they relate to those applications.
Duties & Responsibilities
Participates in the daily activities of evaluating, analyzing, programming and testing of management requests as they relate to system and programming modifications to new or existing computer applications. Interfaces with the user community on all new and/or modified applications while writing specifications and implementing the changes. Adheres to and assists in the design of development standards as documented in the Roland programming standards manual. Assists with the technical review of application system proposals to ensure they meet the Roland design and programming requirements.
Employment Standards
Education/Experience: Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science from an accredited College or University; and Ten (10) years experience in analysis, design, programming, testing and implementing business applications on an IBM Midrange Computer of which two (2) years were on the latest generation of IBM Midrange Computer systems, OR
- Possess a Certificate from an accredited Technical Training School in the field of Computer Science with emphasis in programming on a Midrange Computer; and Ten (10) years experience in analysis, design, programming, testing and implementing business applications on an IBM Midrange Computer of which two (2) years were on the latest generation of IBM Midrange Computer systems.
Skills: Analysis, design, programming, testing and documentation of business related applications. Able to follow abstract oral and written user specifications. Ability to communicate with all levels of users clearly and concisely. Ability to work successfully with all IT team members.
Knowledge: Principles and techniques of programming with knowledge of OS/400, RPG/400, ILE, CL/400, EDI Processing, XML, Java , SQL and Screen Design. Methods of connectivity for PC related hardware and software. Operations of the System I (AS/400) and peripherals.
Physical Qualifications
This position requires the ability to sit 60% of the day, walk 30% and stand 10%. Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Must also be able to bend, push, pull, and reach above head, forward and from side to side to access files. Some driving is involved to attend seminars. Requires constant use of hands, arms, and wrist movement for PC work. Requires the ability to write memos, and possess good spelling skills and/or the ability to use a dictionary. Must be able to read and comprehend what is read. Basic math skills are required. Must have good eyesight for reading, writing and use of PC. Must have good hearing and be able to speak clearly, for phone work and interaction with other employees, vendors and other outside
This is an exempt salary position. Pay periods are bi-weekly.
