Get Ready to ROCK!
Girl Scouts Rock! Powered By Roland gives girls from 8 to 14 years of age a hands-on experience playing popular music with modern musical instruments. Each event kicks off with an electric performance featuring The Rockin’ Roland Girls Band, followed by breakout sessions that feature activities for the girls to explore and develop their inner musician.
The curriculum is based on the Girl Scouts leadership journey It’s Your Story — Tell It!, which uses a storytelling theme in a fun and relevant way to help girls better understand themselves and their potential. Roland will conduct Better Life with Music sessions for interested parents and troop leaders, presenting the latest research and information regarding the benefits of music education in the lives of their children.
Leadership Journey Series
It’s Your Story — Tell It! is the latest in the Leadership Journey Series and offers a fun, comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to building girls’ leadership. It’s Your Story — Tell It! explores themes such as developing a strong sense of self, learning about the benefits of a balanced diet and physical activity, developing healthy relationships, identifying ways to express yourself, and promoting well- being and confidence in others. Girl Scouts Rock! aims to help girls deepen their journey experience through music.
